Green with Blue and Gold Marbling Handmade Paper

Description

A nice delicate mix of lime green, turquoise blue and gold create this beautiful hand marbled momi paper. Our Thai momi marbled papers are initially machine made from kozo and bamboo pulp, then hand-marbled and crumpled using a unique technique. Oil-based paints float on top of water, allowing the artisan to create a swirling pattern. The base sheet of paper is then laid atop the water, grabbing the swirling paint pattern, then quickly removed. Once dry, additional colors are added using the tie-dye process. The sheet is then crumpled to produce itÆs soft cotton-like feel, and set aside to dry once more. This artistic technique creates a unique one-of-a-kind design each time.
